Quietly, Zaine appeared, still in handcuffs, on the floor of the foyer in the Dark Lord's home. The escape had completely blown the wind out of him, because of the magical blocks on the cell made for a vampire. It wasn't full proof, of course, but it had kept him contained for some time. And the energy required could have done worse had he not waited for the right time.
The slayer would be pissed off now, which made Zaine smirk, while his face was still on the floor. He wasn't able to move, but he did manage to laugh. Just the thought of the look on the faces of those bastards made him giddy.
"Damned cuffs..." he mumbled to himself when he regained his composure. Sitting up, Zaine wiggled his wrists and pulled, but nothing was working. He had hoped that being out of that cell might have been able to break the cuffs, but apparently not. Now he needed to find someone that might be able to figure it out. And he needed some blood as well...his eyes were a more violent red than ever.

The young Seer was walking down the sweeping staircase, his head buried in a book when the Vampire simply appeared in a dishevelled state on the floor below. The sound had barely registered until Jack reached the bottom step and looked up from the yellowing pages of an ancient looking notebook, full of runes and a range of languages from Latin to French to Russian.
He said nothing for a moment before pulling out his wand and performing a Shatter charm, which he figured would break the binds holding the Vampire. "Rough day?" He asked casually, sitting himself on the bottom step and defering his trip to the kitchen in favour of Zaine.
He looked as if he'd been pretty drained of magic, and he figured that was because of the no-doubt impressive escape. Ministry cells weren't very well protected against Vampires, Jack figured. And then he noticed Vovaso's eyes. His thirst must have been immense...

"Pretty much," Zaine answered dryly, sitting up now, looking just as weak as his eyes were scarlet. It was embarrassing for him to be seen this way, considering vampires are always known to be strong and can endure just about anything. Feeling like this a big blow on Zaine's character. He thanked the Seer for breaking the cuffs.
His thirst was doubly as furious at him than it had been the previous night when he was unsatisfied after the dog took that girl away. But he had no energy to go on a hunt now. All Zaine needed was a glass or two of blood kept in the manor, and he would have enough energy to get some satisfaction.
He helped himself up. "Has anything interesting happened while I was locked in that excuse for a cell?"

Jack watched him for a moment, folding his book after marking his page and slipping it in his back pocket. "Hardly. It seems I'm kept out of the loop most of the time. I only See, I dont get told anything" The young man said with a small smile, as if somehow he knew how ironic it all was. He knew more than most, yet they still thought they all had their secrets. He almost laughed.
"You look like you need to feed." The brunette was stating the obvious, looking up at the Vampire who'd started to try and regain some composure. Blood was kept in a room off the main kitchen-type room. And although the Manor was vast, they still had to feedthemselves. Seemed odd, te idea of the Dark Lord needing to take ten minutes fr lunch between whatever it was he had planned for he day.
"Come on, otherwise you'll end up poucing at whoever next crosses you path" And with that Jack stood again, leading the way down towards the back of the Manor where there was an old fashioned style kitchen. The storage room where Muggles stored food was slightly chilled, and that was where the Vampires stored extra blood for times when a hunt was out of the question. An emergency store. It was also where a freshly killed Muggle lay awkwardly. Fenrir's no doubt. Jack had avoided acnowledging this so far.
He went to a cupboard in the main part of the room and took out several tea leaves and a cup. With a flick of his wand, the leaves were very finely chopped and dropped into the cup

"Ah," was all Zaine said. It was mostly for the purpose of small talk to bring events up. If something had happened, he would have most likely heard about it by now. He didn't even know why he had asked the Seer.
He stood, and nodded. "That's an understatement. I'm having beyond a hard time to control myself around you right now." Zaine knew that if he had an ounce more of energy when arriving, he may have very well attacked Jack. But his exhaust overcame his thirst, which is why he needed the not-as-satisfying blood kept in the house to go on a real hunt.
In the kitchen, he grabbed two packets of the kept blood, and emptied one of them in a glass, though he could have easily drank straight from the packets themselves. But even with no energy, Zaine was still maintaining the class most vampires had. He almost chugged the blood, but allowed it to go down slowly, feeling the energy almost immediately come back. "Ah...that's the ticket," he smiled, then emptied the other packet in the glass and did the same thing. His eyes gradually lost their stark look.

Jack glanced over his shoulder, giving a brief smile. KNowing he wasnt likely to get bitten any time soon, he turned aound with a cup of tea, watching the tea leaves swirl around the rich looking liquid for a moment before allowing them to settle. He took a sip of the unsweetened tea and let out a small sigh. Jack would use the tealeaves later for a reading. The only problem was he had to drink the foul liquid, which he did not favour at all.
"So, tell me, what happened with you? I'd find out for myself but that seems a little rude considering how exhausted you look" The young man said, holding the cup of tea in front of him while watching the Vampie for a moment. Truth was, he'd never really talked to Vavaso before. Only seen him in passing. He seemed quite calm most of the time. But then many Vampires did.

Taking in every last drop, Zaine licked his lips and sighed lightly. He felt himself gain more energy as if there were a monitor for it in his face. He leaned against the counter, facing the Seer. "I was in the middle of getting my feed last night when the wolf slayer, the woman," he didn't know of the name, nor did he care, "she somehow overtook me." Zaine's fists were clenched at his anger with the dog. "She took me to the ministry and they put me in the damned cell right away. It took me a while to figure out how to get out of there. They must have upped their security slightly, considering how hard it was for me to get out of there."
"Unfortunately I didn't find any type of information," he twirled the champagne glass in his hand. "I thought I may have, but all they did was ask questions."

"I was aware they had a diverse set of people working for them, but a Werewolf slayer is something that's quite new. Maybe the Slayers are doing so badly they're letting all sorts join up. I have to say it makes them look bad." Jack said with a shrug. He took anther sip of tea, careful to blow the steam before hand so's not to burn his mouth.
"The Ministry must have upped security. A few month ago I heard of three complete idiots managing to get out of the cells without so much as the use of their own wand." The young man looked at Zaine for a moment.
"Who turned up when ou were being held?"

Zaine gave a small nod. "I've seen the woman a few times. She's learning, but she's still young and has no idea what Vampires are fully capable of. It was a complete chance that she was able to overtake me," he let out a deep breath. He was only worried about the dog's cycle. While he could fend off a wild werewolf, if she was skilled in any way...that might not be good.
"There was the reckless boy slayer. And before him was a woman auror. The slayer called her..." he thought for a moment. "June or July...something similar." Zaine shrugged. "Why?"

Jack shook his head. "If she's only young then you've nothing to worry about. It takes a long time before a wolf can control their changes. There are many who're simply not strong enough to pull it off." The Seer seemed unconcerned. After all, a Werewolf is their most dangerous when in wolf form, even if they're magic in their own right. The moon consumes their thoughts.
"You sound like you know the Slayer pretty well.." He commented, but a frown had etched into his brow. A young female Auror. 'June or July...something similar' "June.. What did the Auror look like?" Jack asked, his eyes focused more intently now on the Vampire. Taxxi was supposed to be keeping low, keeping out of the fight. Dammit. What was she doing, pissing off a Vampire by interogating him? Merlin.

Zaine nodded once again. "I suppose your right." He sniffed. "I don't see why I should have been worried about it in the slightest now." He crossed his arms.
"Mmm, that I do. We've run into each other more times than I'm able to count." Shaking his head, he had to laugh. "The boy is disorganized and rash." Zaine looked back at the Seer. Was he really that concerned in the woman? "She was on the tall side for a woman, long dark hair, blue eyes...her skin was almost as pale as my own." He titled his head slightly. "Why? Do you happen to know her?"

Jack nodded in response to the comment about the Werewolf and took another sip of tea. Surprisingly, considering how much he disliked the drink, he was nearly done. The wet leaves were sticking to the cup each time he tipped it for a sip.
"Slayers often are arrogant and spontanious. It's the thing that usually makes them fall. And I think it would be the ultimate humiliation, for a Slayer to be turned into what he hated most." The young Seer said, his mind slightly side-tracked to the thought of the Auror who had talked to Zaine.
"I know of a young Auror. I was trying to get in contact. It's probably nothing." He tried to shrug it off; the thought of somebody knowing who Taxxi was and what she meant to Jack would almost certainly mean she'd be in serious danger. "Was she fit?" He asked, almost as if to make him seem disconcerned about the woman Zaine didnt knwo the name of

Zaine smirked at the thought of a slayer becoming a vampire. He wouldn't have liked someone like Nathan King to become one of them...but the thought of him becoming the very thing he hated was amusing.
"I see..." he stroked his cheek, still wondering what the Seer's curiosity might have been. Was the girl anything to him? No...how if there was an auror that meant anything to him, he wouldn't have been able to pinpoint a specific auror on the description Zaine gave him.
He nodded. "Yes, I suppose she was." Most young aurors were though.

Jack felt theneed to change the subject from the Auror to something else, and without another word, drained the rest of the tea. He paused, looking at the leaves in the bottom for a moment before sighing.
"Merlin, He's not going to be happy.. I suggest you dont' go see your Master until tomorrow. He's going to be in a foul mood tonight." The Seer sad with a frown etched onto his face.
"Seems one of our men planted in the Ministry will get found out. Not sure who.." DeBlanc twisted the cup around in his fingers, as if trying to get a better view on the image there in the leaves. Although tea readings weren't the most accurate thing, they often were one of the earliest to show new events. That might be because alot of English folks drank tea regularly.

Attentively noticing the change in subject, Zaine still wondered...though he figured there was probably nothing more than mere curiosity or something of the sort.
"Well shit...he'll probably find me anyway..." he thought for a moment. The Dark Lord was the only thing that Zaine was ever really apprehensive about. Though he only felt the pain for a moment from any type of spell his master sent his way, Zaine knew that if he was ever to fall, then it would probably be at the hands of Lord Voldemort.
"I should stick around, though I don't really want to." He thought for a moment. Staying out late to hunt sounded very appealing, but the Dark Lord would just be angrier later.
