Avatra tapped her painted nails on the table as she waited in a shabby hotel room, in one of knockturns more wretched inns, well the boy might as well get used to it. Sleeping in a decent bed was only luxary for some of their ranks and even then Avatra despised them so. She could share bed with any of them if she wished anyway. Few would deny her company.
Her student however, was late, perhaps if he was early they could have done something fun. She frowned he had much potential not tact. Littered around the table were jars of living things, small animals things of that nature and then the trunk in the corner moved, Avatra smiled. Silly auror, so nice of him to sleep with his wand, in order to "protect" Avatra he had said. Stupid man, lust was his undoing, but at least his death would have a purpose. Avatra didn't care about slowly working anyone into things. The boy was soft and needed to be thrown into this. He needed to be harder, stronger. He needed to be sick and twisted. Like everyone else. She knew exactly what tonight would do to him, and she revelled in the thought that she was the one to corrupt him, in more ways then one she hoped.

Ryan couldn't help but be nervous. Avatra had contacted him and told him that his training would begin tonight. Of course, he was excited. He was finally going to be able to prove to Ava, his older sister, that he was worthy to be a Death Eater. He was worthy to follow the Dark Lord. Yes, he was.
But he was also nervous. He had heard rumors of Avatra. He knew, or at least partially, of what she was capable of. While this excited him, he wasn't sure what he was going to endure tonight. However, Ryan knew that no matter what it was, he would do it. He was determined.
He had been running a little late. The boy had been talking to his father at Durmstrang, where the man was a professor. Antonio Vogel was highly interested in his son's life choices, especially since he had chosen to go to Hogwarts like his sister. The two were close, anyways.
Time had passed quickly though, and before Ryan knew it, he had to be at the inn Avatra had told him. The boy quickly left his father's office, excusing himself for having "a previous engagement" and quickly walked off Durmstrang grounds. Thereafter he Disapparated; a few seconds later, he was standing in the alley next to the inn.
When he reached the room, Avatra was already there. Of course, the woman was never late. He smiled as he saw her, remembering what almost was on their last meeting. He understood why men were so attracted to her. She was the most powerful seductress he knew.
"Hello, Avatra, my apologies for my tardiness," he said smoothly.

Her eyes snapped to him. Her brow lifted, "Apologies" she scoffed. She stood with a strange smile on her face, her wand was out and in a second a stupify went across the room at the boy. "First lesson, dont walk into rooms unprepared", she said a sadistic edge hitting her voice. She would give him time to collect himself before she began with the real lesson. Honestly that was all for being late. She didn't like her time wasted.
"Second", she looked tohim after he seemed stable, she didn't put much force behind the spell. "Three curses, you know them.. you know what they do, the real question is, have you practiced them?" her eyes fell to the boy. He looked llike the virginal type, but he might have dabbled with the imperious at least. Not that you needed that pathetic curse to get what you wanted. People like her and Ryan had their intelligence for that, well their cunning at least.
"Third.. " she paused, "your keep your thoughts closed well, but there is another form of mind power that can be used to induce your will, its what I did to you in the bar, you saw only the thoughts i wanted you too see, and I pushed them into your mind, you can put some very wicked things into people's heads", she smiled rememberring the expiriences, "You will practice that". she concluded waiting for his response.

Ryan was thankful that Avatra wasn't excessively angry with him for his tardiness, and he was silent throughout her instructions/speech, whatever it was she called it. Her words were edgy, but the boy knew it was his fault. He wouldn't be late again. Ryan listened attentively and found himself smiling at her words. This was going to be exciting. In truth, he had only used the Imperius Curse, and he was confident with that one. The other two were obviously more lethal and required more evil and more confidence; Ryan would both need and enjoy the practice with them. He wondered how easy or hard it would be for him. He was determined to try hard.
When she mentioned the "another form of mind power," Ryan's grin widened. This was going to be his favorite part of his training, of course. He loved mind games and loved the power that came with it. It was perhaps his favorite form of magic.
When she finished, he nodded firmly. "I understand... and I am ready to learn, Avatra," he said, his voice confident. Of course he was nervous; who wouldn't be nervous about training for one's life goal and dream to come true? He wanted to perform well and he wanted to make a good impression. These lessons were of utmost importance.

"Good we'll start with the basics shall we", she turned towards him "Wand", she said lightly instructing he should get his out. "I'm sure you've played with teh imperious curse, but now I want to use it. Make someone do something against their will. Make them your bitch more or less", she shrugged.
"I warn you the stronger the mind the better the curse, also the stronger the mind the better the person will be resisting, its possible to break yourself out of the curse, its also possible to lose concentration if the smallest thing ditracts you and you might find the tables turn.
"So what better way to practice then on.. me" she smiled, She set her wand down on the table next to her and folded her arms. "Well what are you waiting for? Curse me?" she demanded.

Ryan grinned, glad they were starting with Imperius. It was the one he was confident with, the one he knew. And better yet.... he was able to practice on Avatra. What man wouldn't give his left nut to have mind control over Avatra.... though usually to get what they wanted, they just needed to have good information. Silly girl.
He took out his want, a sturdy one made of oak, and pointed it at her. "Imperio!" he said firmly, but not too loudly. He flicked his wand and smiled at her, hoping that she would be impressed at his Imperius Curse. He felt very confident with it and used it commonly. Her face fell into a sort of a daze, and then almost immediately smiled. He chuckled lightly, his deep voice reverberating throughout the room, but kept his concentration on her. He used the curse to move her towards him, her body pressed on his, her mouth just inches away. It was a scene reminiscent of their last meeting. He smiled at her, and broke the curse.
"Well this seems familiar, yes?" his eyes showed laughter.

Avatra smiled, she put up her mental barriers, "Again", she focused herself completely prepared to resist him. "Remember your opponent only needs a moment of control to countercurse or curse you in return. If they're mind is strong yours must be stronger and if you can't be stronger, you need to be more clever. Sometimes admitting defeat is the bestway to get what you want".
She waited for the loss of control to hit her, prepared to fight it. It wasn't many who could break an imperious, but it wasn't unheard of, especailly those who duel more with their minds before even touching a wand.
She made a face, he was taking too long to recast teh curse, "Again!", she demanded this time more forcefully.

He held his wand high and pointed it at Avatra, this time saying "Imperio!" with much more force and authority. He kept his mind focused on her, concentrating deeply on what it was she needed to do, fighting to make certain that her mind was all his. Avatra was strong, it was no wonder why the Dark Lord found her so valuable.
But Ryan was not weak.
Avatra started swaying back and forth, at Ryan's request, and walking around the room, side swiping and nearly knocking over furniture. His eyes were focused and stayed on her, as his mind did, as he took her on a nice stroll around the room. This time, he did not break the curse after moving her; he kept it going, determined to see her fight against it, his attempt to prove that he could cast a good Imperius.

Avatra could feel it taking over her. It was a strong curse and stronger with his strengthening mind, but could he control it through distraction. Many people didn't know the power you had while using the imperius there was a link, that forced your intentions on someone else.
Avatra let him take control, she stopped fighting the physical part and delved into her own mind. She pushed all her thoughts outward, anything she had stored.. secrets... memories... things from her past.. things she thought about often.. people she met. Lets see how good he could do with other thoughts then his own to distract him.

Ryan was surprised at the sudden force of the new thoughts Avatra was pressing to him, throwing him off guard a bit as he hadn't expected it. Memories of hers came to him, secrets, people... he knew they were hers, somehow, even if they were silent and she wasn't in them.
He stood still in awe, his wand still held in front of him aiming at her, as he watched the scenes play out, fast forward, at Avatra's will. He was breaking concentration and his curse was weakening.
Suddenly he shook his head and realized what had happened. Avatra had been testing him, naturally. He narrowed his eyes and a rough laugh growled from his throat. He moved his wand again, concentrating more on her, and trying to push off the thoughts as he made her walk around the room, climbing onto the bed, over the chair, bustling about. He had his moments of weakness, sure, but she couldn't completely distract him. He wasn't that typical of a guy.

Ok he was good she had to hand it to him, but it was time to stop playing. Last thing she needed was for him to get an ego. "Enough", the words left her mouth on her own free will and her wand went up a silent counter curse. Breaking the curse. She breathed in slowly and sank to her knees. That took quite a bit out of her, more then she expected.
"Your mind is stronger then I have judged", she was still slightly breathless. Rage filled her she wanted to retaliate wanted to throw him into a few peices of furniture. She repressed the feeling.
"Moving on.." she stood on shaky legs keeping her hand on the back of the chair.
"Imperius we'll come back to" she steadied herself, she kicked the chest in the corner of the room and it popped open. Inside was some random muggle she met in a bar.. poor bloke.
"This is Mister..." she paused what was his name again, "well anyway... kill him", she stepped out of the line of fire and behind Ryan.. there was no reason to beat about the bush with this the sooner you get your first kill over with, she was assuming it was his first... they better. "He's completely unarmed", she instructed, "His only flaw, was falling for a beautiful woman. Muggle, probably has some sort of family", she traced her fingers across his backbone.
"Kill him", she whispered.

Ryan watched Avatra as she sank to her knees, caught her breath, rose again shaking. He smiled to himself, feeling powerful and enjoying the feeling. Sure, she broke the curse, but she was also stronger than he was. He still needed to guard his mind more, and that would come with time.
His eyes stayed on her as she walked to the chest and opened it, a random man dressed in Muggle clothes inside. He was fairly certain he was a Muggle, and she affirmed that quickly.
His ears tickled when she instructed him to kill the man. The Killing Curse already? Avatra must have her reasons... she seemed angry, though her tone didn't exactly give it away. She was toying with him and playing on his soft spot. Probably has some sort of family she said. Ryan thought about that for a second as he remained motionless.
His eyes narrowed and he reasoned with himself. His Dark Lord wanted Ryan to do this. Ryan would need to do things like this in the future, and if he failed now Ryan would never have another shot. Besides, this man was a Muggle.... filthy, dirty Muggle.... who cares if he had a family? Did that truly matter? Not like he was helping the world.
No, Ryan did not care if this man lived or died one bit.
The young wizard raised his wand and glared at the helpless, unarmed Muggle who had no clue what was happening. He pointed it at him and shouted "Avada Kedavra!" A green light shot out from his wand and at the man, shocking the room with its bright colour before finally fading out.
The man slumped over, dead. Ryan stood where he was standing, staring at the corpse. His eyes weren't shining, no. His eyes were hardened. Ryan Vogel had lost his innocence.

A wave of pleasure went through Avatra, she let a small sadistic smile grace her lips. Very few people could handle death so well. She placed her hand on his shoulders and moved down his arm lowering his wand he was still holding out in front of him.
"Good boy", she whispered. "Very well done", she pointed her own wand at the trunk and it closed. "and now to send it... gift wrapped", she smiled swished her wand a bow appeared on the trunk, a specail delivery to Voldemort, so he can see waht his new pet can do.
"Thats all for today", she paused. First kills can be draining. Plus she was quite tired herself. She kept up her appearence but she hadn't slept in quite awhile she had been working for the past few nights.
"You did well, and I dont compliment lightly".

He looked at her and nodded silently. His wand felt light in his fingertips, but still there. Ryan put it away and smiled at the box, the bow. What a pleasant present.
"Thank you," he said, glad he had pleased her. Pleasing Avatra was indirectly pleasing his Dark Lord. That was his ultimate goal. He wondered if his older sister Ava had gone through training like this, if she had ever killed an innocent. If she had the guts to do it.
He nodded and said goodbye, turning around and heading for the door. He felt the same as he always had, except perhaps a little hardened. He wasn't ashamed, he was proud of himself. He knew he had done the right thing in killing that dirty, useless Muggle.
