Weasley Wizard Weezes, in Hogsmeade was smoking and awful blue color to all outside spectators, the inside of the shop was fine, but the inventing room was a bit uninhabitable. The two Weasley brothers had come out coughing and sputtering before closing the door behind them and letting the smoke leek through the chimney in the other room.
"Dear god Fred, I think I nearly killed us", George smiled and Fred only smiled in return. It was a slow day.
"That's because you did nearly kill us", Fred pointed out. He threw his coat down plugging up the little bits of blue smoke that were escaping underneath the door, barred anyone from entering, and then nodded.
"You think the little munchkins will be able to handle the other stop all alone?" he asked his twin, of course they had hired people to work for them now that they had two places and with the problem with theft they were spending more time in Diagon Ally.
"Oh sure they'll handle alright", George passed his gaze over the early arrivers that were Hogwarts students. "Demitri owled me yesterday, he has, something new", George smiled "Something about instant mudslides and stairs", he offered.
The Slytherin boy was already proving himself worthy to work in Weasley Wizard Wheezes.

Alec was nowhere to be found. Zoey wasn't worried, of course, but it was almost time to meet up with their parents for breakfast and their mum and dad would be terribly upset if they didn't get back on time. They had agreed to meet back at Floreon Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor a few minutes ago, but Alec was never good at keeping time.
So, Zoey went off. Her first place was the Weasley Wizard Wheezes shop, Alec's favorite since he enjoyed playing practical jokes on their parents and her. She entered the shop, and it was overrun with tons of other Hogwarts students.
She began to push through, heading to where all of his favorite items were displayed. She stopped at a rather interesting display near the back of the store that held an assortment of "fake sick" items, which Zoey always found pretty hilarious. Of course, if you ate a Fainting Fancy in class, you would get sent to the infirmary, and Madame Pomfrey would know immediately what was wrong.
Of course, it still held for many laughs for Zoey, as she thought it was ridiculously hilarious when people tried to use them to get out of turning in Flitwick's essays.

"Dibbs" Fred saying to his brother before the other twin could even realize what he was talking about. His eyes immediatly fell to a red haired girl. She had a sort of unconvental look, something both the twins had always liked in girls.
"No fair", George finally said spotting what his brother had to be starring at, of course they got tons of adorable girls and the twins loved playing games on which brother could get hte most attention.
"Oi... isn't that.. whats the kids name.. Alec's twin?" he said, he couldn't quite remember the name of the girl. Alec however was a regular and a friend of Demitri's, and they both always thought he had a few good ideas himself. "That makes her legal enough then in age", he winked at his brother.
Fred grimaced, "I don't do protective brothers", he said with a shrug, he was never in it to get involved with a girl, brothers usually just came after him when he broke their hearts. He preferred less dangerous sport. "All yours, mate, goodluck, he took a final glance down at her, you're going to need it".
"As if you had a chance anyway", George rolled his eyes and saw the life spring into his brother's face.
"Is that a challenge my dear brother?" he eyed him.
George didn't answer he simply went down the staircase and headed towards the girl, stopping in front of her looming over her a bit, it was then when Fred came to stand by his side.
"Anything I can help you with?" George managed first, an annoyed sigh came from his brother, he was usually the one to speak first. George was being quite brave.

Zoey looked up to see a tall, red-headed boy - one of the Weasley twins, she thought George - standing in front of her smiling. Being a twin, she could sometimes notice little traits to tell other sets of twins apart, but she had never really been around the Weasleys often enough to be able to tell.
"Uhm... well, kind of. I mean, my brother is missing. Do you know Alec?" she asked. He should, she thought, since he was good friends with Demitri, who worked in their Hogsmeade store, and was almost always in here.
"We're supposed to meet our mum and dad for breakfast, but I can't find him. Have you seen him?" As she asked this, she tried not to look at George - or was it Fred? - too much, instead choosing to look around and see if there were any medium height, skinny, purple-haired guys running around. Zoey was afraid if she looked at the Weasley twin standing in front of her, her face would turn as red as her hair.

"Hmmm" George mused for a moment, watching her divert her gage, "No sorry he hasn't been in, I don't think", he said honestly with a shrug.
"Not that we would have noticed with you around", Fred cut off his brother right before he was about to speak again and winked at Zoey, "So your Alec's sister, "Zoey? Isn't it?" he leaned against the shelve, and barely winced when George threw his elbow back.
"Oh sorry Fred", George said with faked shock, "I didn't see you there mate", his brother threw him a look. It was a low blow of course, George had always had somewhat more muscle mass then his brother, something he teased Fred about constantly. Although they were both fairly solid after being beaters for so long.
"You'll have to excuse my brother, he lacks intelligence, which unfortunetly affects his manners", he smiled taking his chance to meet Zoey's gaze.
"Oi", he pushed George a bit, "My manners are exactly where they need to be", he shrugged, you could say one thing about the Weasley twins they had never lacked confidence.
"Fred watch the shop", George inclined his head at a kid who was attempting to steal some of their exploding swamps. Fred grumbled, he couldn't ignore the theif, and left to mess with the kid. George smiled at his victory, thankful for Hogwarts students with sticky fingers. Not that he could leave the store with it, well not without it going off on him. It had taken them forever to perfect the security.
"Right, soo..." he turned back to Zoey, "Want some help looking? I've got a height advantage over the crowd", he offered with a light smile. Zoey was a bit on the short side, but George didn't have any standards as to height, just in sense of humor really.

Zoey pretended not to notice when the other twin came down the stairs, leaned against the shelf, and the first twin elbowed him. "Yeah, I'm Zoey," she smiled, forgetting about her brother and remembering her confidence.
She laughed at George's comment - thankful she didn't have to ask for their names to tell them apart - and smiled at Fred. She thought they were funny, though George definitely caught her eye a little more than Fred. As much as she enjoyed watching their antics, Zoey felt a little happy when Fred left to leave George and Zoey to talk.
"Yeah, that would be great," she said, quickly remembering she needed to find Alex again. She knew they would both be late, but hopefully not too much. "I'm sure he's in here somewhere, he always is," she commented.
Alec, actually, was waiting at the ice cream parlour for Zoey. He knew that he had been a few minutes late, but it was unlike Zoey to not be on time. He was wondering where she was and was about to go look for her when he realized she was probably looking for him.
Alec set off towards the Weasley Wizard Wheezes shop; it would be the first place Zoey went to look for Alec.
"He's got to be the only purple-haired kid in here," Zoey said to George, stealing glances at him while she stood on her tip-toes, trying to catch a glimpse of Alec somewhere.

"Ya right" George smiled at her, "I think I know the one", they stepped out into the street it wasn't as crowded as it had been the previous years, mark of the war on the wizarding world, whether people wanted to admit it or not they were scared, George walked with his hands in his pockets, he supposed he was somewhat of a celebrity not in the famous quidditch star sense or Harry Potter sense, but him and his brother had made quite a name for themselves and quite a bit of money, and when you had money sceezy witches from all over the place came looking for it.
He looked down at Zoey catching her looking up at him and before looking away and smiling, she wasn't like that, nor was she one of Fred's easy come easy go girls. As he liked to refer to them. She was more simple, not that he thought she was stupid she was just herself, was the only way he could put it. He felt strange to be looking at a Hogwarts student that way, but he only would have graduated a year before here had he stayed in school, it wasn't all that odd then.
"How's Hogwarts since we left?" he asked making conversation while he scanned the crown in the street for the trademark purple hair.

She continued to look around, but not seeing Alec. Not that she minded so much anymore.
"It's alright," she shrugged. "Boring unless you hang out with the fun people, like Demitri and my brother." It was true; nothing really exciting happened at Hogwarts anymore because of the war. Everyone was afraid, even if Hogwarts was the safest place. Dumbledore was dead and couldn't protect it anymore, and teachers were always whispering.
"Quidditch is still good, though," she added. Zoey was a chaser on the Hufflepuff team. "Our House is actually in second," she added brightly. "How's being out of school and owning a business?"

"Well we blew up the store room again", as if that answer was supposed to satisfy her question, he loved his work of course, but he didn't want to expand much farther then they have and Fred had much grander ideas. "We unfortunetly can't keep anyone hired, except Dimitri of course to stock shelves and such because they dont appreciate being used as guinea pigs", he shrugged again. It only really happened one time and the guy got better.. eventually.
"Wouldn't expect Quidditch to change much", he and his brother had been quite the beaters for Gryffindor, when you're protecting Harry Potter's butt though, you sort of had to be; dodgy bludgers and such.
He saw a patch of purple bobbing through the crowd, he frowned a bit their time was about to come to an end, well he wasn't going to let the opportunity escape him, besides he didn't really feel like dealing with the over protective brother act either. Ginny had him as a brother, he knew the drill. "I think I see you're brother" he said quickly, "So..." he scratched the back of his neck, "Think it would be ok if I owled you sometime?" no guts no glory, or however that saying went. He waited for an answer as he saw the purple come nearer.

Alec was heading toward the joke shop when he saw George Weasley walking with his sister. A sort of brotherly protective feeling came over him, but he shook it off... no way was George interested in his sister. It was probably just a reflexive feeling.
Alec waved to the two and started walking toward them.
Zoey's eyes were wide. "Really? That must be fun to fix," she said, in reference to the store room. "How'd you guys manage to do that?"
As soon as George noticed Alec, so did Zoey. She felt a little bit disappointed - it would have been nice to talk to George some more - but she knew they needed to have breakfast with their parents. She waved back at her brother, still listening to George talk.
Zoey was pleasantly surprised when he asked to owl her sometime. "Yeah, sure. Anytime," she said, smiling at him. It would be nice to keep in contact with George, maybe they could even become good friends. Of course, that wasn't all Zoey was thinking.... but for now, friendship would do.
"Hey George, hey Zo," Alec said as he got within talking distance of his sister and friend. "Sorry I'm making us late, mum and dad aren't gonna be happy," he said, looking between them.
"How are things going with the shop?" he asked George quickly, just making quick small talk before Alec and Zoey hurried back to the Leaky Cauldron.

"A right mess at the moment, but I'm sure Fred's sorting it out, we found Zoey looking for you, don't worry I kept Fred away from her", he said to Alec. It was a joke that only people who had ever met Fred Weasley could understand to quite a lot of people.
"Then I offered my superior height to find you over the mob", he joked, "Nice to see you again though mate, swing by on a Hogsmeade weekend, Demitri said you might have some ideas for us", he said cheerfully. She he was just shamelessly flirting with the blokes sister, but all was fair. Besides she had agreed to let him owl her, so he was in a bit of a cheery mood. "Well I woulnd't want to make you two any later then you are", he smiled.
"Zoey was nice meeting you offcailly, and Alec your always welcome in the shop of course", he smiled before leaving the two to dash off to food.

Alec laughed. "Well I hope you get it all sorted out," he said. Fred and George were infamous for exploding things during tests, especially since they didn't have a guinea pig anymore to do tests on.
"Thanks for helping her find me, our mum and dad aren't going to be happy, but they know I can't be on time for anything," he admitted.
"Isn't that the truth?" Zoey chimed in, laughing. Alec would be late to anything, no matter what.
"See ya around, George. I'll definitely stop in at Hogsmeade sometime, shoot some ideas around with you guys." Alec turned around and started heading back to the Leaky Cauldron to meet their parents for breakfast.
"Bye, George, nice meeting you too!" she smiled at him, and then turned around and followed her brother to breakfast.
