Running. Breathing. The auburn headed boy threw his bag down without a hesitation in step. He snapped his fingers, took a few more steps, then jumped as high and as far as he could. The next thing he knew, he was floating. He opened his eyes to the tops of the trees and the wind blowing lightly in his hair. Turning his head down he saw his broom and managed a smirk. "Good ol' Bernie," he said to himself quietly and patted the broom as if it were his best friend.
Vince sighed and circled the Quidditch Pitch a few times before traveling all around campus. His mind was everywhere. From school to home to friends to the strange summer he had. While his life seemed normal, his stomach felt uneasy. As if he were on a plane and there was massive turbulence ending in a deathly crash. Day by day, he noticed everything becoming cloudier. He walked from class to class feeling as if he were trudging through molasses.
Bringing Bernie back towards the Pitch, he landed in the middle and lay in the grass. "What's wrong with me?" he whispered to himself.

She figured he didn't see her as he took off, why she had followed him she could never guess, but when he hit the grass there she was, the thing that was wrong with him. Yazuri stood near the goal posts starring blatently. Her hair whipped around her face. What was she doing out here? She had no business being anything to Vincent Fawkes she had no business being anything to anyone.
What was it that Ryan had said, he had told her to be who she was... to follow her heart. Perhaps she should follow her head instead and find a way to get this strange Gryffindor who had showed her kindness. Kindness she did not expect. She watched him lay down, of course he could barely see her from all the way over there, and she was leaning against the pole, she was a bean pole herself so maybe thats why he missed her maybe he was ignoring her. She continued to watch him. She was being creepy now.
"Turn around and go inside", she tried to will herself, before he noticed her and came over.. or worse.. ignored her.

His eyes ended up closing at one point, but he opened them again to watch the sky. He noticed the clouds were moving quickly. There was going to be a storm soon. That didn't matter much to him. He didn't really want to go inside yet.
As if forced to, Vince felt his head loll to the side. He was now looking at the goal posts by the school. Squinting, he realized he saw someone standing against one. After a few blinks, he then figured out who it was, and that she wasn't just a figment of his imagination.
Sighing, he shut his eyes and turned his back towards the sky once more. Should he get up? He really wanted to...but Yazuri ignored him for the entirety of the semester so far. Why was she watching him now. Vince wanted to look back over to see if she was still there, but he was afraid to now. What if she wasn't there anymore?
Drip. He opened his eyes, feeling a raindrop on his forehead. That could be a sign, right? Right. Well, he was going to believe it was at this point, because Vince was already getting up and walking towards the goal post, Bernie in his hand.

Yazuri's heart did some weird undescribable thing and she thought for a second she might feint. She straightened herself though and breathed deeply getting her wits about her.
"Vincent", he seemed to be walking with a purpose, like had had decided she was ok enough to talk to she was relieved and annoyed at the same time. She didn't know what else to say, was she sorry? Did he even cares he hadn't talked to him or much less made notice of him all year? "I'm" she thought about her words carefully for a moment now that he was close enough to hear them.
"I'm sorry, for everything and anything", she added. It was true she had decided that she was sorry for whatever he had felt when she ignored him. She was glad he was a better person then she and didn't return the notion. He looked at her, as if she was there, solid, in front of him. Just her, no misconceptions or prenotions, just a girl. It made her heart beat quicken just a little. Why is it she could feel so alive, surely her ancestors must have known this? Did they endure it as well, did they feel tempted? What she thinking anyway, she wasn't apart of that family anymore, she wasn't apart of any family.
"I really am", she said finally, kicking herself from her thoughts, just in case he hadn't beleived it the first time she felt the need to reaffirm it.

The corner of his mouth twinged, as if it were to smile, but his face remained almost expressionless. It was the result of not really knowing how to feel. Happy that she was no longer ignoring him. Yet still hurt that she had done such a thing for months. Confused because he didn't understand why he felt this strongly about her. Maybe it was that first angry kiss she had given him back in August. He could certainly feel all the passion that was buried down inside of her through that one outlet.
Vince raised his hand to her face and brushed the hair out of her eyes, then stroked her cheek lightly. He hadn't said anything to her apology, but when she tried to reassure him, he took in a deep breath and wrapped his arms around her. "I know." He let out his breath and just held her tightly. Kissing the top of her head, he felt right. As if this is what was supposed to happen.
There wasn't really anything he could say at this moment. No questions asked. He pretty much had an idea as to why Yazuri ignored him for so long. It was understandable.

She was grateful for the silent understanding and she let him hold her, in fact she burried her head into his chest. It was like she could breathe for the first time in months. She didn't deserve this at all, and she didn't naturally understand what he could ever see in her, but she didn't care at the moment. She felt sane, just then.
"Thank you", she said quietly, it sounded lame, but what else could she say. It was just then an idea sprung into her mind. "Vincent", she pulled away from him a little not moving out of his grasp, "I need help", she said with a sort of set look on her face, like she had decided something on her own for the first time and maybe she had.
"I need to relearn how to be a person, a good person, a normal person", she left out why. The darkness of her past was going to be behind her, she was determined. "Will you help me?" she asked looking up at him through her eyelashes. Yazuri never thought herself as pretty, not traditionally anyway, she knew there was always something strange about her, whether it was her nationallity or her features she wasn't sure"

As she comforted herself into his body, he rested his chin on her head and played with the ends of her long hair. It felt nice. Then she began talking, and he listened. He wondered how long it would really take Yazuri to want to do this on her own. Ever since the night they spent together in the back of that club, he could see how different she was from the other Slytherins.
Pursing his lips crookedly to form an odd smile, Vince held her chin with his fingers lightly. "You didn't even have to ask." He then pressed his lips to hers softly.

Yazuri fell into the kiss, she didn't hold back this time, nor was she drunk, she was simply, herself. This is what it must be for everyone else, she thought vaguely before, shutting her mind up. It was a nice to change to not have to think, to just move, she didn't have to worry about who she was with, what she was doing, what emotions she needed to hide. She could just breath. Most importantly she didn't need to think about if he was trying to use her or not, she could trust him blindly.
When they finally broke she gave him a shy smile. Apart from the kiss they had earlier in the year, she had never truely kissed anyone before. It wasn't aloud, well she was breaking rules, she might as well burn the damn book they were written in now.
"Thanks" she said gently, starring up at him, still in his arms. "So what is it that normal people do?" she wasn't sure what her and Vincent were, but it didn't really matter, she was sure she would know soon enough.

Squeezing her hand, he let out a short chuckle at her thanks. The question made him think though. Normal people? He smiled, looking down at his broom, which was discarded to the ground during their kiss.
"You like flying at all?" It was what he thought of first. And what real "normal" people did was boring. More ideas came to his head that were along the lines of reading, watching movies, etc. But Vince loved just taking the broom out for a spin, like a car. He had a car back at his parents house. And he loved that thing too.
Different locations on campus came to mind to take her. But the highest flat top roof sounded best. Vince himself had been there maybe twice. You were able to see every inch of campus from that point. And they'd even catch the sunset. Okay, so maybe he was a bit of a romantic.

"Ummm" she looked at the broom doubtfully, "That wasn't really covered in dark arts 101", she joked lightly not able to hide the nerves from her tone apart from her first year brooms instructions she hadn't really learned to fly, nor did really like to.
"I guess... it can't hurt though", she said bravely. She was sure Vince wouldn't do anything to throttle her, too much. "Why not?" she said with a bitof a smile.

The giant smile on Vince's face probably made him look like a 6-year-old that just got the train set he always wanted, but he didn't care. He hopped onto Bernie, and held out his hand for Yazuri to take. "You're going to love this." He whispered into her ear once she was on behind him.
Slowly, he raised the broom up into the air, then started soaring. It was drizzling now, but it was warm, oddly enough. He zipped through the air, not doing too many tricks, since Yazuri didn't seem too excited to get on the broom in the first place. But Vince spotted the roof he'd been to a few times before. It was atop an unused part of the school that he hadn't found yet.
Landing, he stepped off, and still held her hand. "Well, what do you think?" Vince gestured to the campus. It was huge.

When Yazuri finally did open her eyes, "I don't think I like brooms very much", she held on to him tightly, "At all", she liked things with walls that were more under control, not that she thought Vince would through her off or something, besides if he did she knew at least a dozen spells that would bring her safely to the ground.
She stepped onto the roof, heals were a bad idea that day, of course thats what she always wore and of course thankfully no one else was around or they would have gotten a show while she was on that broom, skirts dont lend themselves well to flying either, but she was Yazuri and she didn't give up fashion for anything, that part about herself she knew at least.
"Wow", she went to the edge, looking down gave her a bit of Vertigo but she pushed through it, afterall she was probably the most deadliest witch of her age, what could happen. She could feel the wind from up here, it flew through her hair and rippled her skirt.
"It's amazing", she felt a smile grace her face as she stepped back from the edge and towards Vince, "Where is this?" she asked she never rememberred being on this side of the school in her entire career here.
