Daya nodded. "Yeah, Mad-Eye surprisingly isn't around home as much, but only because he's out doing stuff. Remus was really excited before I came to pick you up.... hopefully he's there once we arrive, or that someone is, who can answer your questions better. Sorry I'm not much use." Daya wondered if her not being familiar with Harry (and therefore not a target of the Death Eaters) wasn't the only reason she had been picked to pick him up. Perhaps it was because she was lacking in knowing all of the important details, since she rarely had time for all the big group meetings and such.
Her eyes scanned the ground, looking for a clear in the clouds that would tell her where they were. She didn't want to risk going down again until they had to descend fully, but she knew they were almost there.
"I like it a lot," she said. "Of course, I'm in the most fun department, but I think it'd be fun anyways. It's surprisingly not as bland as many would expect. There are some dull folks but I just ignore them. The only time it's bad to work for the Ministry is times like this, where you can't even trust your boss fully anymore for fear of Imperi or polyjuice potions. And I'm always skeptical on new folks, and I know everyone in there so it's easy to find the unfamiliar ones. They stand out." She thought about it for a moment, about how many new employees there had been lately. She was a perfect spy, almost, for the Order in the Ministry.
"Have you been reading the Daily Prophet, Harry?" she asked.

Harry smiled slightly at the thought of Remus being there. Well, anybody really. He wanted to see people. It was alays surprising how much he missed people when he at his Aunt and Uncle's house. It wasnt his home, so it felt like somethng entirely wrong to him to keep going back. Still, it was what Dumbledore ordered.
"Yeah it sounds good. But I dont think I'd wnat to work for the Ministry at all. After all this, I think I want a normal life" Harry said with a small grin, mocking himself slightly.
"I've been reading the Prophet, but nothing seems to be particularly helpful. Just old news being repeated and alot of people reporting sightings of Voldemort, Inferi and in the last week, twelve sightings of Snape..." He frowned, his grip unconsciously tightening on his broom handle and his mind replaying the bellowed words of that night.
AVADA KEDAVRA. Come back you coward! DONT YOU DARE CALL ME A COWARD... It was you. YES, I WAS THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE...
Harry shook himself mentally. "And apparently I've adopted a dragon to protect me..." He added as an after thought remember one of the other small article he'd read somewhere. Some people would believe anything

Daya chuckled. "You? A normal life? I don't think you'll be allowed to have a normal life after this, Harry." Her eyes gleamed. "Though I suppose you can sure as hell try."
They would be at their destination any minute now, so Daya descended just slightly so that she could see the ground. Yes, there, about a mile ahead, was where they needed to drop.
The witch nodded. "Yeah, I heard about the dragon too. Is it a Hungarian Horntail?" she joked, referring to his stint in the TriWizard Tournament his fourth year. Everyone had heard about that, and Daya had watched.
"I asked because I wanted to let you know that it's all fluff. Nothing worthwhile. We've investigated all of the Snape sightings, none of them are true. Rumors of Inferi might be, but the claims have been of people who are low in the Ministry, if they're in at all. You-Know-Who isn't after the unknowns, the little guys like me. He's after those with a position he'd be interested in, like Amos Diggory in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, or Gawain Robards, the bloke who took over as head of the Auror Office when Scrimgeour became Minister." Daya had her theories as to why He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named would want the little guys first, but Remus and Arthur hadn't agreed.
"We're almost home, Harry, we should start descending now." She took out a Put-Outer and clicked it, removing the light from the neighborhood they were dropping into.

Harry had listened and nodded along with parts, almost as if he ust let the information sink in. Snpe hadn't been truely sighted, and that figured because he was smart enough to keep himself out of the public eye. That much at leats had to be said for the ex-potions master. Where he was now was another matter, but Harry secretly hoped he was rotting in a ditch somewhere and that he'd suffered awful things.
He also nodded about certain ministry membrs being targets, though frowned slightly as Cedric's father was mentioned. "I thought Amos Diggory left the ministry after.. I know he took over a year off, but.. he's back at work now?" Harry asked, concerned that Amos would be victim again to Voldemort's evil if he was in the Ministry. He'd already lost his son. How much more could any man bare to lose?
The brunette boy noticed that Daya was starting to decend, and as he glanced at their location he saw tey were near Grimmauld Place. Home. Almost. Not really, since Sirius had gone, but it was better than with the Dursleys. "I'd say race you, but I dont think drawing Muggle's attention is particularly smart" Harry chuckled, folowing Daya as she put out the lights. It was weird, how the afternoon light had turned to early dusky darkness.

Daya nodded. "We're surprised too. He's actually under suspect for being under the Imperius. Nobody thought he was going to be back so soon. He's acting how we'd expect him to, aside from being back to work, but that doesn't mean anything." It was sad, really. She hated to think of what had happened three years ago at the Triwizard Tournament. Of course, she had been there as was part of her job. She had seen the Diggory boy when Harry had brought him back.... it wasn't a pretty memory for her, Amos having been a friend of Daya's.
Harry's comment broke her train of thought and made her laugh. "Good thinking, Harry." She descended slowly, making sure to keep out of clear vision, and finally landed on the ground softly. She quickly took out her wand and shrunk her broom, putting that away, and turned to look at Harry and see if he was ready to walk the rest of the way home.

Harry didnt say anything. He knew Amos was a strong man and a strong wizard, both magically and with his position inthe social world. He was respected and liked, and many people were sympahetic about Cedric. Harry shook the thoughts. He wanted to keep focused. Cedric still haunted his dreams sometimes, and to think about that now was a bad plan. Harry, noticing Daya was going into a swallow dive, follwed slowly, keeping both eyes peeled for any stray muggles or anybody else he didnt want to be seen by. Within a few moments he'd landed and had strunk his broom, like Daya had, and was standing in a somewhat familiar street. A road down from Grimmauld. He smiled slightly before looking at Daya.
"It feels weird, being back." He admitted. He began to walk towards the end of the street and turned into Grimmauld Place. With a small sigh, he looked at the place where eleven and thirteen stood. When number twelve appeared, it didnt seem as brilliant as the first time Harry had witnessed it. "Home sweet home, huh?" Harry uttered to himself

Daya looked at Harry sympathetically. She knew that since he had suffered many losses the past three years; Cedric, his godfather, and now Albus Dumbledore. As if that wasn't enough, he had the weight of trying to save both the wizarding world and the Muggle world from the most powerful Dark wizard ever known. He was bearing a lot, and she could see that it was wearing him down. She only hoped that meant he wasn't losing hope.
She didn't speak much as they walked, and finally they were standing in between 11 and 13- and then 12 appeared. It surprised and fascinated Daya the first time too, also being Muggle-born, but it had lost its shock since she was so used to it.
"Well, Harry, at least you are home," she said, trying to be supportive. "I don't know if anyone is here, but hopefully someone fun will be." She smiled as she led him up the steps and walked in the door. As she closed it behind them, she called out. "Hello? Is anyone here? It's Daya and Harry!"

Harry nodded, heart-heartedly. Home.. It seemed such a funny thing to say. He'd never really had a home as such. With the Dursley's was a hell, Hogwarts a haven. And here.. Well, Grimmauld wasn't home wihtout Sirius. So he just felt like a visite,r a stranger in this house that by magical law belonged to him now.
They walked up the path and entered the building, careful to close the door quietly because Harry still felt very cautious about this house. If it wasn't the heads of house-elves on the wall, it was the portraits that sent shivers down his spine.
"Maybe they're all out?" Harry said with a shrug to Daya when they heard no reply, but as soon as he'd said it, James appeared from the kitchen downstairs.
"Hey Daya, hiya Harry. How was the ride here? The Prophet said today was going to be a bit windy.." James said, smiling as he ran his hand through his hair, that boyish grin simply glowing on his face.
James and Harry had met several times before, though usually it meant some kind of mischief was underfoot, especially with James working with the Weasley twins on their jokes products. Though Harry started Hogwarts when James was in his 6th year, they rarely talked at Hogwarts except about Quidditch. That was mainly because Jameswas friends with Oliver Wood, and when Wood was around, everything revolved around Quidditch.
"Yeah, wasn't too bad" Harry said with a returning smile, before looking back at Daya. "Do you two want anything to eat? I've not eaten since yesterday morning, and 'm starving" The 7th year said, just as his stomach growled enthusiastically.

Daya grinned as James showed up and began being his cheerful self. Of course, when your two best mates were the Weasley twins, it was hard not to be a cheerful person with a fun personality. "No, it was barely windy. Quite cloudy though."
"Sure, Harry, what do you like? I can whip something up for you.... I'm no Molly Weasley but I've got a few cooking tricks in my wand," she joked. Daya Busaki was a new friend of the Weasley family, having only met them when she joined the Order, but easily adored them, like any good witch or wizard who met them. They were a fun family, and though they were bustly and sometimes noisy, it was hard not to love them.
Daya walked into the kitchen with the boys. "So James, what have you been up to today?" she asked, just making conversation and being lighthearted. She knew that Harry was not completely happy here and that he had a lot on his mind, and she didn't want to make the boy talk about it at the moment.

"Anything will do. It's not like I'm a fussy eater" Harry said with a chuckle. Being with the Dursley's it was eat what they eat or nothing. And although when Duley was on his diet, even then Harry didn't want to starve. Thank Merlin for Ron and Hermione sending him cakes and sweets that summer.
"Three glasses of butterbeer?" He asked, taking three glasses from a cupboard and starting to pour golden liquid from a large barrel in the corner.
"Ideal flying conditions then really.. Oh, Nice one Harry" James grinned as Harry passed him the drink. He took a sip and sat down at the large table in the kitchen. "What have I been up to? Hm. Not much, just trying to get some reports done and finish a batch of glue gum for the Weasley twins.."
Harry raised an inquisitive eyebrow, sitting opposite James. "Glue gum?" He asked. He suspected it was something new, since he'd never head of it before. Though he guessed it would be handy somehow.. Weasley products usually were good for something other than laughs.
"Yeah, it's like bubblegum but it turns to strawberry glue in your mouth.. People who eat it wont be able to talk for half an hour. We spent ages trying to get it right, but Fred kept making the glue too strong and it pulled out teeth, and George made it last too long and ended up spending a week unable to talk." James grinned.

Daya thanked Harry for the drink and took a sip. Mmm. Warm, soothing liquid slipped down her throat. It was delicious and refreshing, as butterbeer always was. She turned her back and flicked her wand a few times while the guys talked. She turned around just as James was talking about the strawberry glue gum.
Sitting the plates of custard tarts and crumpets and marshmallows in front of the boys, Daya laughed. "A whole week of George not talking? That sounds almost impossible." The Weasley twins and Daya had easily developed a good friendship since she had joined the Order. They easily teased each other and were comfortable. "I'm sure Fred just talked twice as much though, eh?"
She sat down at the table and begin snacking on her own plate of treats, matching the plates she had given Harry and James, and sipping her butterbeer. Unlike Harry, Daya had became quite fond of number 12.

"George tried everything and in the end spent the week sulking at he back of the shop.." James said with a smile. Working in the shop with the twins was never a dull experience. Only last week somebody had accidentily set off a box of wet-start fireworks in the backroom, which had cause the pigmypuffs to go balistic and escape from their cages. It had taken two days to collect all the little giggling balls of fluff from their various hiding places.
Harry smirked. Of course, working with the Wealey twins every day would be one hell of a good job. He often wondered what he'd do after the war if he survived.. If, he reminded himself. And the likelihood of that happening... Well, Harry didn't like thinking about it. He started eating a crumpet to avoid conversation for a moment. Harry loved the people inthe Order (Well, most of them.. Dung annoyed him, Snape was a traitor and some of the newer members didnt know how to act around him at all) but he sometimes found it so difficult to talk to them. He hated how they all recommended he stayed at Hogwarts to finish his education. A plan he thought was pointless, though he knew if he voiced his intentions, he would be shouted at by almost everybody. He still planned to leave and hunt down the last Horcruxes. Still intended on doing it alone too.
"Could we go to Diagon sometime soon? I need to get some things and I'd like to see the twins at work" Harry voiced himself suddenly.

She laughed at the thought of George sulking, unable to speak and frustrated, in the back of the Weasley Wizard Wheezes. What a great sight that would be!
"Sure, Harry, whenever you would like. I can go with you, or anyone else if you like. I know the Weasleys and Hermione will be here today or tomorrow, so if you'd rather them join you. Or you can go alone." Daya personally didn't like the idea of Harry going alone, but that was her nurturing instinct taking over; she knew that Harry was a capable and strong wizard who could take care of himself. However, she just felt better that anyone in the Order traveled in pairs or groups.

Harry smiled, nodding to Daya. He didn't have any preference who he went with in honesty. He'd be perfectly happy to go alone but somehow he doubted Lupin would allow it.
"I don't mind.. We could go tomorrow.. Whatever's best for you guys" Harry said with a small shrug. Harry knew that once they got to Diagon he'd probably slip off for a while on his own. He wanted to visit a shop or two in Knockturn, which he knew would ruffle a few feathers amongst Order members.
James, who was tcking into the food laid out in front of him, nodded in agreement. He swallowed a large mouthful before speaking; "We could go before Mad Eye gets back, and be home in time for tea and the meeting.." James smiled, before pulling what seemed to be a face of concentration, like he was trying to remember something. "I still need to finish that report tonight actually.." James added.

"So does that mean you can't go tonight, James?" Daya asked, unsure of what she meant.
She turned to Harry. "We can go now if you want, and you won't have to stay by my side the whole time if you want to shop by yourself for a bit. James is right though, you should probably go before Mad-Eye gets here and the meeting starts. That gives you about four hours, and you can side-along Apparate with me to The Leaky Cauldron." Daya munched on a couple of snacks and sipped her butterbeer.
Daya, too, wasn't a huge follower of the rules. This had been obvious since she was 11, when she chose attending Hogwarts as opposed to staying in India with her family. Ever since, she'd been a little mischievous, but nothing that would get her in trouble. She tended to be a good judge of situations, and she trusted Harry to not get into trouble. And if trouble found him, he could take care of himself - and she would of course find him if she thought anything was wrong.
