"And don't come back!" Vernon Dursley roared, his face purple and his fat little hands balled into fists. The front door slammed. A bemused Harry Potter blinked, shook his head and yawned. He, for once, was not the one at the recieving end of Vernon's temper, but frankly he couldn't care less. It seemed that the cause of the tantrum was a black cat sitting on the new shiny car's bonnet. Unlike the rest of the Muggle world who were worried about mass murders on the loose and all these strange things happening (which the Government and idiots off 'Panorama' had claimed were due to Global Warming) Vernon was far more concerned about his new car. His life was perfectly normal, even with all the awful things in the newspapers going on.
Harry however had had enough of reading newspapers or watching the headlines on television. He was fed up of the fear and the missing person reports. Like Sirius had said back in fifth year.. This was how it began last time. The Daily Prophet wasn't much help. They simply retold stories that they aleady had reported on. Occasionally another murder, another Dark Mark in the sky, another missing person. Harry felt sick.
All his things were packed up and he'd shrunk his trunk and Hedwig's cage so they all fit into his pocket. It had seemed that the Ministry weren't bothered by illegal magic coming from four Privet Drive anymore, and so he'd been able to do all his preparing without any threats from the department that only two yeas ago threatened to snap his wand.
The brunette hadn't bothered telling the Order he was coming; Remus had already asked how long he'd be staying with the Dursley's because he assumed Harry wouldn't be sticking around for long. And he was right. The Gryffindor had stayed or two weeks, and that was long enough. Harry grabbed his fathers invisibility cloak, stuffing it into his other pocket, double checked his things and took one last look at his room. There was barely anything that even stated that he'd lived here for sixteen years of his life. There was nothing left except the calender with crossed off days hanging on the wall and the bars on the window back from his second year. Just one more thing; a letter on the desk adressed to Pertunia. It said little, because Harry knew Death Eaters would come after him via his family if they ever found them. It just said his goodbyes and telling them to keep safe. Everything else was in his pockets. It felt a little weird, but good at the same time. With just his broomstick and wand their original size, the young man left the room and made his way downstairs. Without a word to his 'family' he left via the front door.
He knew that in fifteen minutes somebody from the Order was supposed to be meeting him to fly to London. Though he didn't know who it was, he knew there was a set question and answer, like you got in those Muggle spy films. Harry looked up at the blue sky, knowing the flying conditions were almost perfect, though they could have done with some lower cloud cover. With that, he started to make his way to the slightly wooded area near the park on the hill. That was where he was meeting whoever he was meeting.

She stood in the shadows in an alley near where Harry was standing. Daya kept there for a moment, watching him, waiting to make sure that it was him. Of course, she had the safety question. He had one too, as far as she knew, to make sure that it was really Daya. You could never trust anyone in these times.
She watched him from afar because people were honest when they were totally alone, like Harry was at the moment. Also, she wanted to make sure no others were around.
After the fifteen minutes were up, she stepped out of the shadows and slowly walked to where Harry was. "Hello, Harry!" she called out. Of course he wouldn't expect her, as Daya did most of her Order work inside the Ministry.

Harry figured it must have been odd for the very few passers by who saw him; a teenage boy with a broomstick and a thin piece of wood, dressed in slightly-too large clothes. But Muggles tended not to be all that observant, so the few who did notice him would have forgotten the second they found soembody more unusual to look at.
The young brunette however was unphased by these people. He'd learned to sense magic, learned to feel it. Vaguely aware of a slight tingle in the air, Harry made sure to keep his eyes peeled and his wand tightly in his grip.
Upon hearing his name, Harry whirled around and found himself looking at a young woman with dark eyes and dark hair. He paused a moment, eyes narrowing. Magic. Harry looked at her or several moments, almost as if he culd detect dark magic simply by looking at her before he opened his mouth to speak.
"Of all the people in the world, who do I miss most, and what colour were their eyes?" He asked; this was his question that had to be answered. And for most Death Eaters, the answer would have been something along the lines of 'Your parents' or 'Diggory', but in actual fact it was his Godfather. Who had grey eyes. Well, harry reflected, he usually had grey eyes. Except when he'd been laughing, in which case they had flecks of blue in them. But only Harry and Remus seemed to know that.

She smiled warmly. "Sirius, of course," she said, her Indian accent just barely noticeable in her honey voice. "He had grey eyes."
Daya looked him up and down, eyeing him carefully. He knew his question, but would he know the answer to hers?
"What positon did I play in Quidditch at Hogwarts, and who is my favorite Quidditch team?" The second part of the question was the true test; most knew she had been a Chaser for Gryffindor in her younger years. She had even won an award, though she had finished Hogwarts the year before Harry started. Her favorite Quidditch team was the Holyhead Harpies. They were a brilliant witch-only team, though they hadn't been successful as of late.
Even though she worked in the Department of Magical Games and Sports and even wrote a book on Quidditch, her favorite team was not common knowledge.
Her brown eyes watched his body language carefully.

"Gryffindor cheser, just like Sirius. And you follow the only all-women's team the Holyhead Harpies. And I gotta say, they're seeker is bloody amazing." Harry said, knowing this to be the answer and grinning slightly. Remus had communicated the secret details to them both via Patronus some days before hand and Harry had since read up on the Harpies.
"Good to know I'm going back where I belong" The brunette said with a smile now that the formalities were over. He felt a little more relaxed because she was an Order member and one unlikely of anything particularly stupid. If Remus had been free, Harry would have wanted him to come, but werewolves were making moves and his old teacher had to keep his nose in their business.
"You got a broom or are we apperating?" He asked after a moment, noticing how poor the cloud cover was. It would be easier to apperate, but of course there was the problem of him being tracked via unfriendly people at the Ministry if he tried on his own.

She grinned. "I'm glad you pay attention, they don't get much these days." Harry was a nice boy, though they hadn't met but maybe once or twice before this.
"We'll be flying back home," she said casually, both of them knowing that "home" is Grimmuald Place. "Apparation would be faster, but we don't know if the Ministry has been infilitrated yet. I haven't noticed anything, but of course we don't think You-Know-Who would mess the the Department of Magical Games and Sports." She laughed; Daya was quite lighthearted, even in a matter this serious. Of course, she was being safe and taking the proper precautions, but she wanted to make Harry comfortable.
She pulled out a small broomstick and pointed her wand at it. Suddenly the broom became full-size and it was apparent that Daya Busaki had a relatively new (or well taken care of) Firebolt.
"We're going to want to mount in that alley over there and then stay above the clouds. The flight isn't looking to be turbulent." Daya smiled as she started walking towards the alley she had previously walked out of.

He nodded in response to her instruction about their travel arrangements, quickly pulling a pair of brown leather gloves from one of his back pockets. Being a Seeker, he knew how difficult flying could be with cold hands, and the gloves were charmed to keep his fimngers nice and warm.
"Sure. Though it's going to be cold up there." Harry said, his voie non-commital as he focused on putting his gloves on, his broom leaning against his leg. For a moment, he felt the familiar thrill of pre-flying adrenaline. But then he remembered that the others weren't going to Grmmauld Place until the end of the holiday. Mad Eye thought it too risky, but from what Harry could see, his home was the safest place.
"So, any news I should be told before I go home?" Potter asked, keeping his voice forcefully light. "Anybody.. Well, will I be making any visits to St. Mungo's this summer?"

Daya waited in the shadows as Harry donned his gloves, as hers were already on. She pulled her cloak a little tighter around her, though she knew she wouldn't get cold up there. Her cloak and gloves had been charmed with the same warming spell as Harry's gloves.
She looked around the are and cast a Muffliato spell around the two of them so they wouldn't be overheard. "We have a vampire in custody," she admitted to Harry, knowing he should know the truth about everything. "I haven't heard anything else, how they caught him, if he's answered any questions, or if his answers were valuable. But he is a Death Eater..." Daya stopped, her train of thought going faster than her words could keep up. "He has vampires and werewolves fighting together. Surely not Greyback's favorite plan of his master's, but there haven't been any wars between the two species." Her eyes hardened. She hated evil.
"But otherwise... nobody in the Order has been to St. Mungo's, at least not yet. We're being extremely cautious but everyone's working on something." Daya thought about everyone in the Order.... Remus.... Chase... Nathan.... Taxxi... Justine... James... the Weasleys... and the list went on. They were all busy. And, hopefully, safe.
Daya looked up at the sky and pointed towards a patch of sky in between some clouds. "We should go up soon and preferably through there.... clouds would be a little wet."

Thankful that none of his friends were hurt, Harry allowed a smile to tug at his lips slightly. No news was good news. He however knew very little about Vampires in general. Except the usual Muggle myths. Sunlight and holy water, something like that. He supressed a shudder at the thought of what else the Muggles had right about Vampires.
"I didnt know Vampires and werewolves didn't get along. Unless its a thing about hunting grounds, I dont see why.." The brunette trailed off.
"Still, I expected Voldemort to be gathering as many as he can to his cause. If he's got giants and dementors, it was only a matter of time before he started rallying Vampires and other creatures like that" In all honesty, Harry wasnt sure what Voldemort would plan on calling up next. The only things worse than Vampires and werewolves was probably dragons and acromantula, and as far as Harry knew there was only a few dragons in England and Arogog's children.. Though the spiders could hold their own in any fight..
"Sure thing. Ready?" The Gryffindor asked, now standing beside Daya and mounting his broom, taking a quick glance around the surrounding area.

"Yes, let's get up there now before we miss that opening," she agreed. Daya made sure the Muffliato charm stayed around them as they ascended into the air, and then proceeded to speak.
"Oh yes, Harry, vampires and werewolves are natural enemies. When I was a little girl in India, the village elders used to tell us stories about the Bhutas. A Bhuta was a man who died untimely and instead of moving onto the afterlife, he remained on Earth and fed on the blood of others. A blood sucker; in essence, a vampire. Every full moon, the rakshasas would come out, the shape shifters. These were humans descended from the Hindu god of creation, and they took on the shape of animals, usually wolves, at full moons. The Bhutas stayed away during full moons, for fear of a battle between them and the rakshasas." She smiled. Though Daya had given up her Hindu religion and her family in India many years ago, she still loved remembering the old legends she used to hear in the village.
"I've heard similar legends about blood suckers and werewolves since living in England, and then of course while going to Hogwarts. It seems, in every culture's legend, as though they truly hate each other, but always keep separate. Neither side wants a war. But You-Know-Who has seemed to bring them together, because he's gathered them both." Daya was silent then, frustrated that he was gaining so many followers. She thought about what that could mean, and in truth she worried for the Order. Of course she had faith that good would prevail over evil. It always did, in her eyes. Even still.... good may prevail but lives may be lust. She didn't want lives to be lost.
"As far as we know, he just as the giants, the dementors, werewolves, and vampires. We're thinking that is all, and hoping that this is enough. Remus went out last full moon and met with some werewolves he once knew and talked to them about what was going on. They didn't tell him much but promised they would answer his howl when the time came, which is reassuring. They're not all evil."

The young man followed suit and when they were flying, it was almost as if he'd been given back his freedom. It was a breath of fresh air, being suddenly fifty foot in the air. Looking down, he silently said goodye to Little Whining for what could be the last time.
"How long did you live in India for?" Harry asked, "I think I'd like to travel after.. If all this ends. All over. I want to go to somewhere quiet. Somewhere with nice weather too." The brunette looked over at his escort, checking for direction as he didn't have any means of telling where to head.
"So you really think we're up against a massive army? I was hoping his efforts with the giants would have been wasted and that the rest of the dementors would have been captured or killed. Not that I have any clue how you kill a dementor.." Harry said, frowning slightly at the thought of how dementors would die. Surely they could only be killed by magic.. But using an Avada Kedavra was probably useless against one of them..
"I guess we're still trying to gain support too?"

Daya smiled at Harry's question. "I was born there and lived there until I came to Hogwarts," she told him. Though she had chosen magic over her family and home, she still looked back on the memories happily. She knew she made the right choice no matter what.
"It's a beautiful country, but I doubt you'll like the food."
Daya kept the two on a decent path, straying only slightly so as to keep any followers off of their path. Of course, they couldn't find 12 Grimmuald Place, but she took all precautions. Daya was always safety first.
"I wouldn't call it a massive army, Harry," she reckoned. "I mean yeah, he's gathering who he can, but we aren't positive that so many are on his side. When Remus talked to the other werewolves he knew, they seemed really peeved at the mentioning of You-Know-Who. Remus said they seemed angry that their brothers had been joining up. Just because he has one pack doesn't mean he has the whole species." Daya was very logical about this and reasoned well.
"The recruiting with the giants can't be going well... there aren't many left alive now anyways, because they kill each other off when there's too many. As far as the dementors.. he definitely has a decent proportion." Daya was frustrated with that. There was no certain way to kill a dementor, at least that she knew of, and there would have to be at least fifty wizards and witches each producing a Patronus to help fight them. A full-out battle like that seemed far off, but it was something they needed to prepare more for.
The Indian witch nodded in response. "Yes... we are always trying to gain support. It's obviously difficult to do, but we are sending envoys to werewolves, herds of giants we know You-Know-Who hasn't gotten to ye, and old friends." Daya thought about all of the newer recruits, new aurors like Taxxi Jules, and everyone's effort for more.

Harry kept close to her while they flew, ensuring that one, he didnt get too distracted and two, he could listen to the newst news. Sure, he'd been reading the Prophet, but that hardly gave important details. The Order were much more up-to date.
"We need to find something that can fight off Dementors, otherwise that will be Voldemort's main weapon against us. If it breaks into a fullscale fight, they'll be distracting us so much we wont even have the energy to fight the Death Eaters" Harry said, worried about this fact and talking as if he intended to be out there, fighting. Even if everybd in the Order thought he should be kept safe, he knew sooner or later [and preferably not the later] he'd be out there, either hunting the final Horcruxes or on the fornt line.
"Good to know we have a few on our side.. What about the other magical folk like the Goblins? I'm expecting they'll want to keep neutral, right?" Although Harry knew very little about non-wizarding magic folk, he figured that they would all be as wrapped up in this war as everybody else. Goblins, warlocks, any creature really..
Silently Harry wondered if other magical creatures, such as the dragons would be used. And if so, how the hell would they be hidden form the Muggles?

Daya smiled to herself as she listened to Harry. She could tell that he had been craving more news than just the Daily Prophet, and it was obvious that the information she was telling him was worth a million Galleons.
She nodded her head. "Yeah, goblins don't want anything to do with anything. They keep to themselves, they did last time and they will this time. I don't know who else we're trying to recruit, though. Talk to Remus about that if you get a chance, or Taxxi or Mad-Eye. I'm generally just a lookout for things at work. Since I work in the Department of Magical Games and Sports, I can spend a lot of time looking around the Ministry in different departments just talking to people and it doesn't look like I'm not doing my job." Daya thought about everything that she had seen so far, which wasn't much. It made her feel relieved that they only had a few suspects of Imperi or other random imposter (polyjuice potions?) in the Ministry so far.
Daya slowly descended just about fifty feet to check that they were on the right path. They were, and she instantly rose back to her previous position. They were making good time, and should reach Grimmuald in about fifteen minutes.

Although Harry had only travelled to London on his broom maybe twice before he was confident that they were very nearly at Grimmauld. It was a comfort, in some ways, but at the same time he hated the place. Hated the memories it bore. Hated the fact as Sirius was locked up in the house he hated most and that had been how he spent his final year of living. Harry sighed slightly before looking back at Daya.
"Figures with the goblins. They don't seem the most helpful people in the world. I'll talk to Remus when I can, but I'm guessing he's out and about. And Mad Eye still creeps me out sometimes." He said with a small smile. Well, if Mad Eye didnt scare anybody else, Harry still had god reason for being slightly cautious around the bloke. They'd lived a year with an imposter after all.
"So do you like working in the Ministry? I mean, with the exception of wondering who's a spy or whatever."
