The Dark Lord, dressed in all black robes, sat on a chair in his dining room. Nagini was on the other side of the room, but slowly slithering toward him. He didn't smile, but he watched his favorite servant, his snake, and one could tell that this was probably the only creature that the Dark Lord particularly enjoyed being around. Sure, he had his favorites - Bellatrix, Avatra, Greyback, and perhaps this new Vogel boy - but none came close to Nagini. But, of course, that was to be expected, as Nagini was a part of Tom Marvolo Riddle. A horcrux.
A man stood in front of the Dark Lord, dressed in a black button down shirt and black pants, looking almost formidable himself. He was looking down, showing respect for his Lord, and bowing as he greeted him. "Hello, my Lord. Thank you for meeting with me today, I have great news for you."
Riddle turned his attention to Jason Caldwell, the man in front of him. Ah, Jason. He was a good follower too. Very loyal, and very capable. Jason was just about to start his newest operation; Hogwarts Potions master/professor and Head of Slytherin House. Voldemort hoped that this position would allow him to better see what was going on inside Hogwarts, as well as push a few students towards his direction. He nodded once, understanding. "And what is this news, Caldwell?" he asked.
"I have met a Hogwarts student, Sir, and gained her trust today. We were in the bookstore in Hogsmeade and she had a vision. It was, ironically enough, about me - though we can get to that later. It turns out that she is a Seer, my Lord, and a Slytherin. Her name is Syrine Bonaparte, sister of Demitri Bonaparte." Jason waited then, and cleared any mental barriers he had in his mind for his Dark Lord to verify what he was saying as truth.
Riddle was very pleased, indeed. Syrine Bonaparte, a Seer? The Bonaparte had no history of Seers, but that didn't mean that it wasn't possible. Of course, it would be a task to get her to join up, but perhaps that wasn't even necessary. Perhaps all Jason needed to do was get her trust, get her to tell him about her visions, and then relay them to Voldemort. This was very good news.
After a few moments, Voldemort pushed himself into Caldwell's mind and saw the events of today. The girl, the vision, his reaction. How he treated her - fitting to a teacher, Voldemort supposed - and their conversation thereafter.
It took only a minute, and when he was done the Dark Lord sneered, almost smiling. "You have done greatly already. You will continue your previous mission with the same intentions, though another will be added on. You knew this already - you are to gain her full trust and become her confidante. Any information comes back to me. This is of utmost importance, and failure is not an option." He said this all very slowly, dragging out the sounds and meanings.
Jason Caldwell staggered just slightly as his Lord entered, searched, then left his mind. It was never a pleasant feeling, no matter how many times it happened, and though Jason was a strong wizard it still knocked him around a little. He nodded, proud of what he had accomplished and looking forward to the upcoming school year. He bowed and said good-bye to his Lord and left the room. He went home and began thinking of what was yet to come.
During their conversation, Nagini had slithered her way towards Riddle and had made her body curl around the chair and onto his body. He relaxed and placed his cold, bony hand on her head. He didn't pet her, just held her head to his thigh. "Nagini, we have so much fortune. Winning is inevitable."
